Foundation of Emilio BESANA &Co.

First supplies and cooperation in Germany and UK and with ICA Sweden (still ongoing).

• Foundation of Italian Food Tradition consortium - Besana is one of the founders
• Besana wins the "UK-Italy Business Award", given by the British Government for nearly 25 years of Besana activity in United Kingdom

Tesco wins the Quality Food Award thanks to the "Finest Spiced Fruit and Nut Selection" developed and produced by Besana

• Installation of newest Napasol pasteurizer, allowing 5 log reduction
• Installation of Photovoltaic system on all the roof of San Gennaro Vesuviano plant.
• First supplies of Top Quality product on Chinese retail market
• Besana achieves 35 packing lines.
• Opening of  new area dedicated to “Nut Free” productions
• Relocation of Besana UK in East Anglia (Ipswich), close to the Port of Felixstowe
